Ampla allows customers to create a database of recipients to ensure you are sending and receiving money to and from known partners or accounts. At any time you can edit or update these recipients as well, to ensure all future payments are sent to the correct parties.
How to access your recipient list:
In the top right corner of the Ampla UI you will see a gear icon. Clicking on this will allow you to access several different administrative controls for your account, as well as your ‘Recipients’ tab, which allows you to access your recipient list:
From this form you will be able to create individual recipients, as well as uploading multiple recipients at a time via a CSV upload.
You will also be able to edit existing recipients from this page in order to update their account or payment information.
Creating a new recipient:
You can create a new recipient from the recipients tab outlined above, as well as during the send money process. When creating a new recipients you have several areas where you can input information, outlined as follows:
Recipient information:
The recipient information section contains information for your reference in organizing your recipients. This allows you to track the recipient's legal name (which will be used in any money sends, and will be visible to the recipient institution).
You also have the ability to add nicknames for your reference (great for DBAs for the client you use) as well as contact names, descriptions, and tax numbers for your use.
Legal address:
The legal address is required for money sends, and should reflect the legal address for the entity you are sending money to.
Payment information:
This is where you are able to add routing and account information for both wires and ACH payments. Please be sure to enter in the correct information for the money movement type, as the Ampla platform will use your entered information to send money, and ACH information in a wire transaction (or vice versa) can result in failed transfers, as well as potentially money sent to an incorrect account.
Contact information:
This contact information section allows your vendor to receive email alerts every time a money transfer occurs. This will detail out:
- The company name input in the recipient details
- The amount of money sent
- The account name the money is sent from
- The payment method for the money sent.
This is a great way to give your recipients notification that money has been sent, and allows you to customize who that notification is being sent to.
FAQs:
Can I export a recipient list?
At this time Ampla does not support the functionality to export all recipients from an account, though it is on our roadmap.
